Heidy Garay

I'm a fine artist and designer based in Los Angeles (www.heidygaray.com). I earned a BFA in Illustration from Parsons School of Design and an MID in Industrial Design from Pratt Institute. I began my career in New York City, where I spent several years designing rugs, tile, and fabric patterns for the home.

Now based in LA, I run Kamina Studio—a space for surface design, prints, and home goods that reflect my love of pattern, nature, and creating beauty that's meant to be lived with.

In addition to my design work, I maintain a fine art practice and teach Spanish immersion art classes for children, combining my passion for creativity with a love of language and cultural connection.
